About us

Arbuckle Cattle Company is a family-owned ranch located in the Gold Country of the Northern California foothills. We specialize in providing our customers with premium grass-fed and finished beef, which is raised on our ranch from start to finish. Our commitment to sustainable ranching practices emphasizes animal welfare and land stewardship.


Our cattle are humanely raised on open pastures, grazing on nutrient-rich grasses without the use of hormones or antibiotics, ensuring that we deliver a pure, natural product. These grasses align perfectly with their natural diet, promoting proper digestion and nutrient absorption.


This diet guarantees the purest protein, which is high in Omega 3's and lower in saturated fat, making our beef a healthier choice.


We currently service the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as the greater Sacramento region.

At Arbuckle Cattle Co, we raise the finest Aberdeen Angus, a prized heritage breed that has its roots in early 19th century Scotland. 

They're one of the oldest known breeds for producing superior, high-quality beef. widely recognized as the best for 100% grass-fed and finished beef. And here's why:

Our family ordered some beef from John. He's our neighbor and we can see the cattle from our property in Placerville. I can see the care John and his team put in raising the cattle on grass and pasture the right way. The beef turned out exactly as John mentioned. Juicy and tasty (in an earthy, organic way that mother nature intended) very different than the store bought beef. John took the time out to explain the different cuts and how he takes care and the butchering process very clearly. We appreciate the experience.
